How Much Are Americans Spending On Their Relationships?
According to a recent survey, the average 1.5-year relationship costs more than $9,200 per person.

They say money can't buy you love, but dating is still pretty pricey. CouponPi wanted to know how much Americans are spending on their relationships, so they surveyed 1,000 people on the cost of everything from gifts to getaways.

According to the responses, the average American spends $6,138 per year on their relationship, while a 1.5-year relationship will cost each person an average of $9,207 overall.

By the time they marry, the average couple has spent more than $19,300 on gifts and activities together. This is based on Bridebrook's estimate that the average length of a relationship before marriage or civil partnership is 3.5 years.

Over the course of a year, the average American will spend $599 on gifts for their partner. The annual cost of activities is almost $5,580.
