“Malevolent, negligent and egregious conduct”

This wasn’t just a rivalry between competitors. Matthews had been obsessed with Thomas Flohr, VistaJet’s founder, for about a decade. Matthews and his AirX employees had been emailing, at times anonymously, with VistaJet suppliers, bondholders, ratings firms and journalists. He and his staffers raised questions about VistaJet’s corporate structure. They called out its $4.25 billion in debt. And they portrayed Flohr as unethical and underhanded. from Inside the Nasty Rivalry Rocking the World of Private Jets [WSJ; ungated]

Hey look at that - a giant simmering pot of assholes everywhere in this story!

I am a bit puzzled at the solidity of VistaJet's lawsuit. It seems like AirX is saying some valid things, but I guess pointing at things like the strange debt loading and aircraft leasing isn't cricket when you have enough money to sue everyone?

I am interested in the NYT’s Robin Leach piece on Thomas Flohr’s “seven story mansion in the Swiss alps,” if anyone has that gift link

Come now, they are very clearly the openings the HORDES OF FLYING MONKEYS pour out of whenever the chateau is under enemy attack.

Which I am sure is quite often.
