In the US, nearly one million people get a DUI citation every year — but, according to a recent study, drivers of some car models are caught under the influence more often than others.

Insurify used its database of almost 100 million car insurance rates to find out which car models had the highest percentage of drivers with a DUI on their driving record.

The most DUI-prone Americans are behind the wheels of Buick Envistas, with 72.1 DUIs for every 1,000 drivers. Buick Encore GX and Chevrolet Bolt EV drivers follow behind, with rates of 58.7 and 40.6, respectively.

Eight of the 10 worst cars for DUIs are made by US companies, but the priciest model on the list is the British-made Jaguar XF, whose 2024 model has a starting price of $51,075.
