2:39 Back to Tim Cook to wrap everything up. Byyyyyye!

2:36 Starts at $999. Pre-order the new phones on Friday. In-stores on September 20.

2:35 16 and 16 Pro have Qi 2 support for faster charging. New cases that support the camera control.

2:31 Now showing how the new music video from The Weeknd used the new iPhone 16 Pro at 4K 120fps.

2:30 Improved audio memos that let you layer recordings for musicians to make scratch tracks.

2:29 Four mics allow for spatial audio capture. Audio Mix uses ML for better speech clarity.

2:28 Change the frame rate on playback. No need to decide beforehand. Great for pros.

2:27 Higher frame rate captures on Pro. 4K at 120fps. Nuts.

2:23 "Photo styles" are fancy filters, basically.

2:22 The ultrawide camera on the Pro has a 48 MP sensor now. Telephoto is still 12 MP.

2:20 Better image processing, faster USB transfer and more all made with professionals in mind.

2:19 Six-core GPU. Beefier CPU with more ML hardware.

2:18 A18 Pro chip gives more functionality on the Pro. Made with AI in mind, of course.

2:17 More AI pitching.

2:16 They claim this is the best battery ever, but don't give stats AGAIN. Color us skeptical.

2:15 The size-up for Pro is true. 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches. Four finishes and all made of titanium.

2:14 iPhone 16 Pro announced.

2:11 Starts at $799 fro 128GB. No price change.

2:09 Satellite functionality expanding.

2:08 Improved battery life, but didn't give meaningful stats, so it must now be that big.

2:06 30 percent improvement in gaming performance. Hardware-based Ray tracing too. Better support for AAA games. "Honor Of Kings World" launching iPhone 16 support next year.

2:05 Photos app has AI-driven image editing that lets you remove unwanted elements.

2:04 Steroscopic images. 3D capture just like we thought. ML will improve audio too.

2:03 New ultrawide camera has autofocus. 2.6 times more light. Great for macro photos.

2:02 Has the same 48 MP camera we saw last year.

1:59 Diving deep into the camera control. Makes photos and videos must better. Has haptic feedback and touch gestures. Light press allows more settings. Hard press takes the photo. Very cool.

1:58 ChatGPT and other third-party tools are plugged into the AI too. Seems opt-in.

1:57 The visual intelligence allows you to use your camera to take in info for the AI to act on.

1:55 The beta of the new AI starts next month with limited functionality. Won't even launch on the new phone.

1:54 The AI is plugged into the entire phone — you can use Siri to take actions pretty much anywhere in the settings or apps.

1:53 They're using AI to summarize messages and e-mails. Notifications too. Updating Siri with better support for stumbling over words. Type to Siri too! This is actually useful.

1:52 Apple's AI will allow you to search photos and even within videos better.

1:51 GenAI built into the keyboard. AI emoji too. Weird.

1:50 They're pitching "private cloud compute" which runs Apple's own hardware. They want users to trust them to allow them to send requests to the cloud. Apple says they won't store your data in the cloud.

1:49 Here's the AI pitch.

1:47 Much faster 5-core GPU.

1:46 New A18 chip has more memory bandwidth and better performance for AI. 6 core CPU. 30 percent faster than the iPhone 15.

1:45 "Camera control" is a new button

1:44 Ultramarine, teal, pink, white and black colors. Now ceramic is tougher than ever. Action button coming to 16. Screen sizes unchanged.

1:42 iPhone time! Made with Apple Intelligence at its core.

1:40 They expect FDA approval on these features later this year, and AirPods Pro 2 will get the new features this fall with a software update.

1:38 AirPods Pro 2 can also serve as a hearing aid now.

1:36 AirPods Pro 2 can protect hearing by reducing the volume of your environment. Can also check for hearing loss.

1:34 AirPods Pro 2 will have features to help with hearing loss.

1:33 Two models: AirPods 4 are $129. Add in Active Noise Cancellation, it'll be $179. AirPods Max being updated too. Everything Releases September 20.

1:31 Conversation awareness will automatically quiet music when you start talking.

1:30 Second model includes more features.

1:29 Uses H2 chip and new acoustic architecture. You can shake your head yes or no to interact with Siri silently. Improved noise cancellation.

1:27 AirPods 4 announced.

1:26 Pre-order today. Starts at $799.

1:25 Hermes band lookin' sharp.

1:24 Apple Watch Ultra 2 available now in satin black finish.

1:23 Apple Watch Ultra now being discussed.

1:21 Pre-orders start today. Starts at $399 ($499 for cellular).

1:20 Up to 18 hours of battery life.

1:18 Series 10 has a built-in depth gauge and water temperature monitor. Also monitors tides so you can catch some gnarly waves.

1:16 Every 30 days, your sleep data will be analyzed, and you'll be notified if you might have moderate to severe sleep apnea. They anticipate approval from the FDA.

1:15 The sleep apnea rumors are true. Series 10 can detect it.

1:13 New S10 chip inside designed with machine learning for the likes of fall detection. And a new system lets you reduce background noise when making calls on your watch. New photos face! Translate app too!

1:11 80 percent charge in just 30 minutes. Much faster this time around. The aluminum case is 10 percent less in weight. They're replacing the stainless steel model to titanium — 20 percent less weight.

1:00 Here we go!

12:32 The crowd is big at the Apple event. People are ready for new iPhones.

Watch the entire event

Our pre-show expectations

First and foremost, the new iPhone 16 and 16 Pro models are all but assured. Most importantly, the Pro and Pro Max screens are rumored to be increasing from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches and 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches, respectively. The iPhone 16 and 16 Max aren't expected to change in size.

We also expect a multi-tiered camera button, a vertical camera arrangement for 3D video, A18 chips in all the new models and improved support for Apple's recent push into AI.

We saw the Apple Watch Series 9 announced last year, so there's a very good chance we'll see Series 10 hit on Monday. Improved water resistance, sleep apnea detection and 44mm and 48mm sizes are expected in this double-digit update.

Supposedly, Apple is introducing two new AirPods models, and could potentially update the AirPods Pro, but there isn't really a firm consensus as to what the release timeline looks like right now.

Check back on Monday, September 9, and we'll find out the truth together.
