Every day, somebody says or does something that earns them the scorn of the internet. Here at Digg, as part of our mission to curate what the internet is talking about right now, we rounded up the main characters on X from this past week and held them accountable for their actions.

This week, we've got a sad nepo baby, someone who doesn't like walkable cities, a terrible breakup story, yet more age gap discourse and a wild take on IVF babies.

Friday

Jaden Smith

The character: Jaden Smith, ultimate nepo baby, sad boi

The plot: In a recent interview, an oddly dressed Jaden Smith told everyone that he is very sad and insisted that future psychologists will fall all over themselves trying to explain the depths of his mind. It's embarrassing, and people wished he and his parents would keep their inside thoughts inside, where they belong.

The repercussion: We don't doubt that Jaden feels sad; he might be depressed, but there's no way for us to know. He is super rich though, so he should go see a therapist to discuss his problems instead of whining publicly. Also, people on the internet would probably be less mad if he didn't dress like he just fell into the wardrobe of the worst Marvel movie of all time.

Laina Loo

The character: Laina Loo, not a fan of walking or cities, big fan of cup-holders

The plot: Among the many points of friction urbanists have on X, walkable cities is always an issue of contention. Residents of New York and Chicago always advocate for public transit, whereas those in suburbia prefer cars. Laina Loo, an X user, apologized while admitting that they preferred cars over walkable cities, and it might be one of the most honest takes we've seen on the app in a while.

"I don't really like walkable cities," they wrote. "I don't like walking. Or cities."

The repercussion: Loo's take was met with just the right amount of of humor and very little snark, and in a follow-up they did confess that they weren't advocating for "car-centric" cities, but were being a bit "silly" and "self-deprecating" — but when has that stopped people from reacting online.

Saturday

Spritely

The character: Spritely, Instagrammer, victim of true wickedness

The plot: Recently, an Instagram user named Spritely shared the story of how her long-term boyfriend had her uproot her life and move from California to Texas, only to dump her shortly after. In the video, she explains that the boyfriend simply handed her a letter one day that said "we have nothing in common and we're incompatible."

The repercussion: People online were aghast at the cruelty of Spritely's ex-boyfriend, with many seeing it as proof that no one should ever sacrifice their life for love. Meanwhile, others dug up older videos from Spritely that suggested her relationship had its issues long before the writing of the note.

Saturday

Dukhtar

The character: Dukhtar, X user, concerned about age gaps

The plot: "Chicken Shop Date" host Amelia Dimoldenberg and Andrew Garfield have come face-to-face a lot recently, and the internet has often speculated about whether their "flirtationship" has any legs. In a recent reunion on Dimoldenberg's show, the rumors were reignited, and a number of newbie fans opined on the love life of two adults.

"Actually nvm she's 30 and he's 41 it's a bit weird," wrote one x user, Dukhtar, referencing Dimoldenberg and Garfield's age gap.

The repercussion: Clowning on an anonymous X user isn't as fruitful as it once was, but this take was definitely the exception to this rule. Some did try to reason, while others just didn't care.

Saturday

@tlstgrlnthwrld

The character: @tlstgrlnthwrld, X user, person with interesting opinions

The plot: On Saturday, X user @tlstgrlnthwrld tweeted arguably one of the wildest takes to ever be shared on the app.

"When I was 19 I briefly dated an IVF baby and ngl... it didn't seem like he had a soul," they wrote. "He wasn't evil, he was just very NPC."

The repercussion: People's reactions to the tweet were a mixture of bemusement and horror — and even an IVF baby weighed in.
