Maybe he’s a right wing shithead who thinks he’s a genius and a hero.

He’s wrong.

For a split second, I thought the source was CertifiedIncel

His argument is that he can order a drink and food during the flight and not wear his mask while consuming those so it's pointless to have to wear one at all. Whenever I have to take a drink/bite on a flight these days I just lower my mask for a split second to get it in my mouth and put it back on to chew/swallow. It's not hard. Most flights are 2 to 3 hours. It's really not a big deal.

Even if their policy doesn’t describe their requirements, a private business can refuse service for any non protected reason. So… dude may be right, but still won’t be flying soon.

I think you mean without reason. They can literally refuse anyone service without having to give a reason.

Legally, those cake bakers who refused to make the gay cake only had to keep their mouths shut to be operating completely legally. No reason = no discrimination.

That is completely wrong. Just because you don't say your discrimination out loud doesn't mean a court can't easily conclude that it exists.

How many people convicted of 1st degree premediated murder do you think voiced their premediation out on tape? You think they tell the police and the judge? No, circumstantial evidence and behaviour can easily show the presence of premediation.

"Your honour the murder wasn't premediated!" => you bought a weapon days before => you set up a meeting with the victim => you made these preparations and searched for body disposal methods => murder was premediated, keep silent all you want and it doesn't help.

"Your honour it wasn't discrimination!" => your store has never rejected cakes for no reason from any other class of people => no other plausible reason could be found to explain the refusal => discrimination was practiced, keep silent all you want and it doesn't help.

I imagine the person(s) expecting him on the other side of that flight are ecstatically happy.

He explained that he was trying to demonstrate why the rule did not make sense to him.

I don't think anyone asked for a demonstration and I don't think anyone he demonstrated it to is able to change federal law.

He expected to get away with it. He didn't.

Willingly breaking the law as civil disobedience to protest is fine, but it doesn't mean you won't get into trouble for it. I guess he understands that now.
