Special Event: Rifftrax: ERAGON
MST Club presents.... Huzzah! It is yon extrudede fantasie producte! Once upone thine time, there was a fantasy world called Analgesic Alagaësia. On this world was an evil person called Galbatorix. (Not kidding about that one.) He does evil things, evilly, but here are some other names: Ellesméra, Ra'zac, Zar'roc, Murtagh, Hrothgar. They also do things. Magic things. It is our job at MST Club to be thoughtlessly dismissive of whatever pop cultural object comes our way, but even so, this one's special. Eragon's riff comes from 2007, long enough ago that there's only Mike Nelson and Kevin Murphy on this one.

book: The Good Earth
The Good Earth is a historical fiction novel by Pearl S. Buck published in 1931 that dramatizes family life in an early 20th-century Chinese village in Anhwei. It is the first book in her House of Earth trilogy, continued in Sons (1932) and A House Divided (1935). It was the best-selling novel in the United States in both 1931 and 1932, won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1932, and was influential in Buck's winning the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1938. Buck, who grew up in China as the daughter of American missionaries, wrote the book while living in China and drew on her first-hand observation of Chinese village life. The realistic and sympathetic depiction of the farmer Wang Lung and his wife O-Lan helped prepare Americans of the 1930s to consider Chinese as allies in the coming war with Japan. Special Event: RiffTrax: DRAGON WARS: D-WAR
MST Club presents... the movie so bad, they named it twice! I presume you pronounce it like it rhymes with GWAR. There's dragons called "Imoogi," see, there's good Imoogi, and there's bad Imoogi. A kid is charged to protect energy that's supposed to go to a good Imoogi, that has to go to a reincarnated lady so she can give it to said Imoogi, and then it can fight the bad Imoogi. But then the bad Imoogi attacks, and engages, according to the Wikipedia page, "the United States Army, the United States Air Force, and the Los Angeles Police Department in battle." One of these things is not like the others. Anyway, it was the most expensive South Korean movie of all time when it was made in 2007, and roundly panned upon its release. RiffTrax released their track in October, 2009.
