Yeah honestly I don't know how people want so much more for free. I'm almost f2p and I feel really happy with the amount of stuff I get for the amount of effort I put in. I've spent $5 and I have multiple esper variants with no budget substitutions. That's insane given that I'd actually be paying $300-$500 have just one of them in paper.

For real. This got me back into mtg after over a decade away. The game is incredible value and it's completely free if you want. (I bought the boros theme for my cards since it's nice to give something to the company after how many hours i've invested.) Never in my life would I have thought I'd be playing mtg again and here I am with nearly complete sets of cards without having spent a dime (on cards.)

The arena community is normally nice and friendly and funny, but good lord are they entitled.

There are 2 issues here.

  1. The battle pass system is designed to put pressure on you to spend money, EVEN AFTER YOU BOUGHT THE BATTLE PASS. That's pretty shitty for a system that's supposed to reward seasonal play.

  2. The changes to weekly rewards is going to hurt some casual players who can't play every day. That's the issue here.

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. People have pointed out many times that you can hold 3 dailies at a time so as long as you play a few times a week you should still be able to achieve just about everything.

I’m happy for the man. Pissed off a lot of country racist folk around here when he made that hit country and then came with that double whammy on them when they learned he gay. Dude deserves a damn medal.

If he can make it as a gay, black country/rapper then there's legit no excuse the rest of us can't succeed at what we want, too.

Extended play. More songs than a single but not enough to be considered a full album

Well TIL. I knew what it was basically, but never considered it actually stood for something.

a bunch of people are going to tell you "play whhat you want/ Youll be fine"
Just dont do that to yourself..
I recently leveled a war on Pserver, gearing to tank takes a ton of hours at 60 dungeon grinding and you will need to buy some pieces from AH to be considered an MC tank. If you only have 10 hours a week to play you may not hit 60 till november, by then there will be a TON of warriors already geared.
People will pass you by even for dungeons

IMHO Warrior is not a casual class. It takes a ton of hours to gear and is extremely gear dependent.

I try to tell my noob friends to roll mage/hunter or paladin/priest/shaman, healers are fairly easy to gear for preraid and are always in demand (IE. people arent going to be picky), and mage is easyish to gear preraid and can farm gold for themselves and are always wanted.
I never played hunter but from what I understand they are the most noob friendly?

This is the only part I disagree with. Assuming someone rolls a warrior to tank and also tanks instances on the way to 60, they'll likely make friends who will continue to want them to tank. I feel like people run into issues only when they quest their way to 60 as fury then decide it's time to start gearing up as a tank.

I started a few months into vanilla, finally hit the level cap in TBC (I wasted most of my time with my 19 twink guild. oops) and quit about a month into Cataclysm. I didn't like how the game had slowly become more and more casual, plus I was just getting older.

I'm definitely coming back, but I'm not sure if it'll be at launch or not. I'm moving in with my spouse at the end of the month (gonna live that Army dependent life for a bit. Woo!) so I'm not going to try and immediately rush into a time consuming game if there's any chance I'd neglect anything more important, but man am I excited to get started on my tauren shammy. I wouldn't normally say this, but since we're all friends here, I might even try my hand at... roleplaying, this time around.

In my experience, hospitals don’t like people walking around outside when they’re hooked up. Too many chances for a person who medicated to fall and hurt themself, accidentally pull their line out, or yes leave with the port still in for whatever reason. Usually it’s reserved for situations like they’re an in-patient receiving chemo or otherwise has been there for a while and their nurse or a family member will go with them to make sure they don’t fall or whatever.

When I worked as a hospital security guard, and we spotted someone walking around with a port in or whatever, you’d ask what room they were in and then call that floor and ask if the patient was cleared to be walking outside. If not, you were supposed to escort them back to their room or told they would be discharged AMA.

Exactly. It's for this reason that I have doubts that anyone actually told him to go outside to get some air. Do we have a source?

Still was the answer having the cops called on him?

No, likely not.

getting to play for three days a week for an evening is unusual?

playing on the 'fear of missing out' to get people to login and play your game is very much a predatory design.

Six hour gaming sessions is what I considered unusual.

You need to pay more attention to how people play.

Just like tv, binge playing maybe 1-2 a week is more common than playing every day

Pulling it completely out of my ass I'd say the vast majority of players probably play for about an hour at a time, a few times a week.
