This isn't just regular ol' USB though — Apple's Thunderbolt standard uses USB-C connectors, but requires a lot of compute power in the cable itself. For professionals, the performance is probably worth the upfront cost.

    I've been an IT professional for 20 years. I have never, not once, ever worked with an IT professional that actually liked Apple products.

    If you buy Apple, congrats, you got swindled and paid 3 to 4 times more than you needed to...at least.
