Stunning images up for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award

People are being encouraged to vote for their favourite entry in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People's Choice Award, a competition run by the UK's Natural History Museum.

The contest, which has been running for 60 years, drew nearly 60,000 entries from 117 countries and territories around the globe.

Judges have already awarded the winners of specific categories, including "Oceans: The bigger picture" and "Natural artist".

But now it's the public's turn to have a say.

"The People's Choice Award allows members of the public from across the globe to join the jury and vote for their winning image, inspiring everyone to connect with the natural world," Natural History Museum director Douglas Gurr says.

"As always, this year's selection of images for the competition's sixtieth anniversary is truly exceptional."

There are 25 images shortlisted for the People's Choice Award, with voting open until the end of January.

People are able to vote for their favourite image via the competition's website or by visiting the museum in London.
