The drive Team
Chief Content Officer
An irredeemable sucker for Ford-era Jaguar XJs, Mike was the founding editor of car culture site Jalopnik, and a former editor-in-chief of 0-60. He's a co-host of the TV show /drive on NBC Sports, and has contributed to Wired, Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, and Maxim; and previously hosted the satellite radio show RPM.
Editorial Director at The drive Media. Previously, Patrick was editor-in-chief of Jalopnik, executive producer of the TV show Car vs. America, and a veteran of several Texas newspapers. Normally he's into unreliable old BMWs, but he lives in New York now, so he's just happy when his Toyota 4Runner starts and drives.
Kyle quit a stable job as a TV producer at CNN in 2017 to pursue a lifelong dream and write about cars. Two years later, he's the Editor-in-Chief of The drive, drawing upon a decade of experience in print, digital, and TV newsrooms to guide the largest independent automotive brand in the country.
Military & Aviation Correspondent
Tyler has been obsessed with all things aviation and military as long as he can remember. He went on to develop the defense-oriented website Foxtrot Alpha and can often be found with a camera around his neck, photographing aircraft and weaponry.
Over the course of his writing career, Jonathon has jumped Aston Martins for Automobile Magazine, clocked 200 mph in a McLaren 720S for Playboy, and sampled his best life behind the wheel of a Ferrari Dino Evo for Road & Track. He’s also hopelessly addicted to the strongest coffee he can brew. Please send him more.
This Mexico City native witnessed his first F1 race from his mother's womb and grew up commuting in VW Beetle taxis. After racing karts internationally as a teenager, Jerry now lives with his family in Indianapolis, where he can hear the roar of IndyCar engines from his front porch.
Jared's love of cars began when he was only a toddler, for reasons even he can’t explain. By the time he was 14 years old, Jared was hired by a local exotic car dealership to shoot photos of their inventory, and the rest is history. He drives a bagged Subaru Baja, also for reasons only he can explain.
Co-host of The Autonocast and /drive on NBC Sports, and author of The driver, Roy has set endurance driving records in Europe & the USA in the internal combustion, EV, 3-wheeler & Semi-Autonomous Classes, including the infamous Cannonball Run record. He is also Founder of Noho Sound, Producer of 32 Hours 7 Minutes, and has spoken at the FBI, CIA, MIT & Stanford about numerous driving records which must still remain secret.
Deputy News Editor
A Missouri native and wannabe songwriter with a thing for old trucks, Caleb helps run The drive's news operation, covering everything from motorsports to backyard builds. He could care less about what he drives every day as long as it's his trusty 1966 Ford F600 dump truck. He probably will never learn to play the uke.
When he's not too busy searching for the perfect Porsche Cayman, Nikhil manages The drive’s social media and merchandising strategies. In 2017, he co-founded the Human Driving Association with Alex Roy, and managed the relaunch of Roy's Cannonball-inspired clothing line, Polizei 144.
