The two-block stretch of 16th Street NW, north of the White House, was designated as Black Lives Matter Plaza after George Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis in 2020.
Ingredients that can cause cancer were found in 10 synthetic hair products marketed to Black women, according to Consumer Reports. Nine of the products also contained lead.
When they were buried they weren’t considered fully human, but now they are “patriots who are coming out of their graves with equal rights in 2025,” one descendant said.
LaDonna Crutchfield, who is Black, was taken out of her home and spent several hours in jail before the error was corrected, according to federal complaint.
