JD Vance's Terrible School Shooting Take, Trump Trying To Twitterize America, And More Election Updates
We're currently in the weird period between the sleepy Labor Day weekend and the very consequential first debate between Harris and Trump next Tuesday.
Not much has changed in the race, but that doesn't mean things aren't getting even more absurd.
Trump wants Musk to tear apart the US government like he did with Twitter
The Presidential hopeful has said the Tesla and X owner could lead a "government efficiency commission" should Trump win the election in November.
Speaking the Economic Club in New York yesterday, he said Musk had agreed to oversee a "complete financial and performance audit of the entire federal government" and would "recommendations for drastic reforms."

Vance thinks school shootings are inevitable, and that sucks big time
Speaking at a rally at Phoenix, Vance said, "I don't like that this is a fact of life. But if you're — if you are a psycho, you want to make headlines, you realize that our schools are soft targets. And we have got to bolster security at our schools... We've got to bolster security so if a psycho wants to walk through the front door and kill a bunch of children, they're not able to."
The Trump campaign staff that caused a stir at Arlington have been identified
NPR identified two Trump campaign staffers involved in an altercation at Arlington National Cemetery last week. They, according to a source, are deputy campaign manager Justin Caporale and Michel Picard, a member of Trump's advance team.
Those staffers had a verbal and physical confrontation with a cemetery official who tried to stop them from taking photos and videos in Section 60, a restricted area where many casualties of Iraq and Afghanistan are buried. The Trump campaign and the US Army acknowledged the incident, but this week, Trump insisted it didn't take place at all.
