Now in its second celebration of Pride, the Queer Liberation Library and its growing collection of e-books and audiobooks aim to "build a vibrant, flourishing queer future by connecting LGBTQ+ people with literature, information, and resources that celebrate the unique and empowering diversity of our community."
Inspired by the Out on the Shelves library in Vancouver, BC and given urgency by the growing movement to ban LGBTQ+ books in the United States, QLL has been lending through Libby since October 2023.
Anyone with a U.S. mailing address can apply for a library card to access the collection. QLL hopes to expand geographic access in the future, but in the meantime, resources like their Pride Guide and recommendations for other online resources are more widely available.
