jenfullmoon, women's hockey is actually so so full of love. May I introduce you to Julie Chu and Caroline Ouellette, whose inspiring cross border rivalry-romance has resulted in two adorable daughters?

There are a lot of relationships in women's hockey. One of my favourites is Emerance Maschmeyer, our goalie here in Ottawa, who is married to and just had a baby with fellow Team Canada goalie, Genevieve Lacasse.

I really like how the PWHL deals with draft order. Instead of rewarding the worst team with the best pick, encouraging tanking, they instead give the best pick to the team that won the most points after they were eliminated from playoff contention. A team that has a bad season will still have more opportunity to get the first pick than a team that was in contention until the end, but that requires they actually try and win games throughout the whole season.

I'd love to go to a game but Toronto has been sold out since their inception, despite moving to a bigger venue this year.

Since the first time I heard about a player on the US national women's hockey team and a player on the Canadian national women's hockey team ending up together (pretty sure it's happened several times, now), I have been wanting a romcom about this. Come on, Hollywood and/or Canadian media companies!

@jacquilynne Two goalies in one house? I suspect there is a fair amount of insanity in that house.

What a great story! Best line ...
A lot changed for Ouellette and Chu in 2017 when they celebrated the birth of their daughter, Liv. For Ouelette, it was because there was no hiding anymore.
“We won the Clarkson Cup in 2017 with Liv in my belly. I thought that this was the coolest thing ever and I wanted to win that Cup so badly because I wanted to say we won with too many players on the ice,” she says with a laugh."
