In the 1982 horror "Poltergeist," a suburban family's home is taken over by vengeful spirits that abduct their young daughter. Now, the house featured in the movie — which the listing assures us is free of malevolent ghosts — is on the market for the first time in 45 years.

Despite going on sale less than a month ago, the Simi Valley residence, listed for more than $1.17 million, appears to have already found a buyer — it's under contract at the time of writing.

While spacious, the interior of the four-bed, three-bath house is undeniably dated; maybe it hasn't been redecorated since it was last on sale, either.

Sat on a 0.37 acre plot, the property boasts ample outdoor space, including a very sizable pool and a jacuzzi.

Nothing spooky about that.
