There are still tens of millions of baby boomers (people born between 1946 and 1964) here in the United States, but those numbers are starting to shrink faster, now that even the youngest part of the cohort has hit 60 years old.

Redditor u/DioriteLover wanted to know what kind of things that are commonplace now will slowly fade into obscurity as boomers become an increasingly small portion of our population.

A good portion of these people is slobbering to see us die. I wonder then who they will get to babysit their kids, go home to when they lose a job, borrow from when they need to buy a house or start a business or co-sign a loan, or to turn to in a health, marital, or other crisis. I could go on, but they're already scrolling on their phones and ignoring me.

This week, I saw a tech article referring to Sonos developing “Set Top Boxes”, as if people called their tvs “TV Set” anymore or someone might be able to put a “box” on top of their tv with - at most - a 1/2” surface.
