Using data from World Atlas, StatsPanda ranked the deadliest animals in the world, based on the number of humans they kill per year.
The creature humans should perhaps fear the most is the mosquito, which kills an estimated one million people yearly via mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue, West Nile virus and yellow fever.
Humans are apparently their own worst enemies, killing the second-highest number of people a year (around 475,000 homicides). The third-deadliest animal is the snake, whose venomous bite causes roughly 50,000 deaths each year.
