An abundance of pollen this spring has produced a persistent strain of algae in an outdoor rug woven from polyurethane. When the sun comes out, the algae recedes and the color of the rug returns. Rain brings the algae back. At minimum, I will power-wash the rug and the patio surface beneath. Is there a product that I can apply that will strengthen the resistance to algae?
