
We're almost a month into 2025 now, and while there's no way of knowing for sure what the year holds, we can still have a guess.
Using the findings from a survey by Ipsos, Visual Capitalist visualized how likely or unlikely Americans think it is that selected events will occur in 2025.
The largest share of respondents (66 percent) predict extreme weather events will increase in the US this year.
The second-most likely event, according to those surveyed, is higher inflation (59 percent).
When it comes to what Americans think is less likely, less than two in 10 expect the conflicts in the Middle East to come to an end in 2025.
