Role Search
fess provides user management functionality, allowing users to utilize role search by logging in. Users managed by fess can change their password and perform role-based searches after logging in.
Search Method
If roles are configured and the content has been crawled and indexed, search results can be displayed only to users who have the appropriate role. When users are logged in, searches are performed based on the roles they belong to.
Changing Password
After logging in, click the username displayed at the top of the search screen to display the password change menu.
Clicking “Change Password” displays the password change screen.
Enter your current password and new password, then click the Update button to update your password. After changing your password, click the Back button to return to the search screen.
Logging Out
When logged in, click the username displayed at the top of the search screen and select “Logout” from the menu to log out.
