If you're not busy concocting bizarre new foods for Thanksgiving, you're probably looking for ways to entertain your friends and family while they're visiting. If football and parades aren't doing the trick, video games are your best bet for quelling pre-dinner mutinies.

In hopes of keeping a lid on the unruly crowds, we've picked out six multiplayer games from this year that should cover every age range. Good luck out there.

'Jackbox Survey Scramble'

This silly collection of survey-based games is a great pick because up to 10 people can play at a time, and the players just need access to a smartphone or tablet. Very young children probably shouldn't play, but it should be fine for most audiences.

'Jackbox Naughty Pack'

If you're having a Friendsgiving, or you simply don't have any kids in the family, you can play this more adult-oriented selection of games that tend toward more raunchy prompts. Just like above, you'll need a tablet or phone for each player.

'Tetris Forever'

There simply isn't a more approachable game than "Tetris." This collection includes plenty of retro versions of the game, a brand new multiplayer-friendly mode and plenty of entertaining documentary footage about how they ended up creating the greatest game of all time.

'Lego Horizon Adventures'

This is a retelling of the beloved PS4 game "Horizon Zero Dawn" from 2017 in Lego form that's far less grim, and more appropriate for a younger audience. Team up as Lego figurines, and come up with creative solutions to take out these rogue robots across the plastic apocalypse.

'Super Mario Party Jamboree'

"Mario Party" is a classic time sink that anybody can participate in, and this Switch exclusive allows you to play loads of mini-games with the family as you work your way through a beautiful digital board game.

Players: 1-4 (Local), 1-20 (Online)

Platforms: Switch

'Tekken 8'

While "Tekken" games aren't nearly as brutal as "Mortal Kombat," this is still a game based on punches and kicks. It's not a great fit for families with little kids, but it's hard to beat a great fighting game like this when it comes to pacifying a crowd.
