On Sunday, October 27, a throng of Timothée Chalamet fans and doppelgängers descended upon Lower Manhattan for a lookalike contest in honor of the actor. The event was organized by YouTuber Anthony Po and offered a $50 cash prize to the best Chalamet impersonator.

Though the contest in Washington Square Park began with chaos — the organizers were slapped with hefty fines for hosting an "unpermitted costume contest" and at least one contestant was arrested — it only got wilder when Chalamet himself turned up to meet and chat with fans.
