Hidden beneath the streets of London, the Crystal Palace Subway is a Victorian foot tunnel and a relic of a bygone era. Opened in 1865 alongside the 'High Level' railway station, the subterranean maze features include ornate design elements, including a grand Italianate facade. [ad (also includes 9 other places)]

Another Victorian subway/foot-tunnel of note would be the Thames Tunnel constructed by the Brunels.
