The 2024 NFL season is off to a fast start as the Chiefs and Eagles both won the first two games, respectively. On Sunday and Monday we’ll get the remainder of the Week 1 slate.

A few storylines to watch:

Aaron Rodgers returns for the Jets. Rodgers, a Super Bowl champion and four-time NFL MVP, was signed last offseason to help get New York over the hump. Unfortunately he was injured just four plays into the season, tearing his Achilles and missing the entire season. If he can remain healthy, the Jets should be a top contender. Speaking of quarterbacks returning…

Bengals QB Joe Burrow missed a good chunk of games in 2023 with wrist surgery. Will he struggle to get back to 100% or look like the dominant passer he was early in his career? There’s also the question about star WR Ja’Marr Chase, who is sitting out in hopes of landing a higher-paying contract.

Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels make their NFL debuts for the Bears and Commanders. The No. 1 and No. 2 overall selections in the 2024 NFL Draft both hope to turn around franchises that have struggled for decades to find an above-average quarterback play. Chicago hosts the Titans while Washington travels to Tampa Bay.

Jim Harbaugh is back on the NFL sidelines as the new coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. Harbaugh, a former coach of the San Francisco 49ers, led Michigan to the national title last season but opted for the pros after bringing a title back to Ann Arbor. With one of the top young QBs behind center in Justin Herbert, Harbaugh has a good chance to continue his winning ways.
