Yachts and cruise ships are the epitome of luxury, and — perhaps unsurprisingly — the manufacturers working in the multi-billion-dollar boat and marine products industry make a mind-boggling amount of money building them.
Using data from the National Marine Manufacturers Association and BOAT International, SI Yachts ranked the biggest boat and yacht companies in the world, based on the revenue generated per second.
Ranking first is Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, which raked in a whopping $266.99 each second in 2023 — that's an annual revenue of $8.42 billion.
The only other manufacturer to make more than $100 a second is US company Brunswick Boat Group, which saw a revenue of $202.94 per second ($6.4 billion a year).
Third place goes to Germany's Lürssen, which generated $63.42 of revenue per second, or $2 billion a year.
