Christmas Rhapsody, posted to MeFi Music in 2008 by the amazingly talented doubtfulplace, is actually the best holiday song ever. That is all.

A CHALLENGER APPEARS

This came from Metafilter? I had no idea. I always thought it came from a band called Pledge drive, with Tim Walters as producer. In any case, I agree it's among the best Christmas Songs ever, and I personally like it better than Bohemian Rhapsody, and it's not even close.

I like Jingle Rock Bell too. And the barking dogs Jingle Bells, so maybe don't trust my musical taste.

Thanks, evilmomlady! FYI, all my holiday tracks (including Christmas Rhapsody) are available as name-your-price downloads on Bandcamp. I should probably note that they vary widely in both style and broadness of appeal.

The_Vegetables: I always thought it came from a band called Pledge drive, with Tim Walters as producer.

I am he and he is me. We originally recorded it for our former employer's in-house annual holiday CD in 2003.
