University Graduates Want To Move To This Country More Than Any Other

Using the Economist's footloose index, based on Gallup's annual surveys, Visual Capitalist visualized the countries university graduates from around the world most wanted to move to between 2010 and 2023.
One graphic shows rankings by potential total net immigration, while the other shows potential net immigration in relation to each country's existing graduate population.
The number one choice as of 2023, Canada has ranked between the first and third most popular destination for graduates since 2010. Denmark and Finland follow as the next most attractive countries, according to Gallup's most recent survey.
In terms of per-graduate net immigration, New Zealand has topped the list of dream destinations since 2010.
Portugal has shot up the lists in recent years, leaping from 24th in 2010 to 13th 2023 in total rankings, and 25th in 2010 to eighth in 2023 in per-graduate rankings.
