Virginia House Special Results 2025
Democrat James Walkinshaw, a Fairfax County supervisor and longtime aide to the late Rep. Gerry Connolly, prevailed in the special election for Connolly’s deep-blue seat. Connolly supplied his endorsement to his former staffer before he died. Republican Stewart Whitson, a veteran and former FBI official, had pitched himself as a conservative outsider in this slice of Northern Virginia.
