WHY, FI?
'It Burns When IP,' And Other Good Wi-Fi Network Names Redditors Have Come Across
Service set identifiers (SSIDs) are the names given to different Wi-Fi networks. You're probably used to seeing the default names on the wireless routers like "Linksys" or "Xfinitywifi," but they can say basically anything you'd like. As such, it shouldn't surprise anyone that people make them say silly things sometimes.
While I've seen the somewhat threatening "GetYourOwnSh-t" and "WeDontCall911" here in Delaware, my own SSID is a short โ if boring โ geographic identifier. Reddit user u/orgad, on the other hand, seems to be on the hunt for something much more clever. Here's what the wisdom of the crowd was able to cough up.
What are cool yet not cringy Wi-Fi names?
