MoveBuddha wanted to find out which cities in each state Americans most want to move to in 2024, so they analyzed mover search data between July 1, 2023, and March 3, 2024, where searches indicated they were planning to move at some point this year.

The study only included cities with at least 25 searches for moves both in and out, so Mississippi, North Dakota and West Virginia were excluded due to insufficient data.

Median home prices in the most-desired cities range from $136,000 in Dayton, Ohio, to $959,000 in Boulder, Colorado, while the national average sits at $375,000.

When it comes to cities with the highest in-to-out move ratios, Asheville (NC), Billings (MT), Chattanooga (TN), Boulder (CO) and Burlington (VT) all rank in the top ten.

Not everyone is looking to move to a bustling urban spot. While the average population across the most-searched cities is around 200,000 people, the numbers range from 650,000 in Boston, Massachusetts, to less than 25,000 in Decatur, Georgia.

I suppose we'll just guess what each of the blue for cities are since they're not labeled. MI: Grand Rapids?, Kalamazoo?, Holland? Saugatuck?,

Hi! If you hover over the spots on the map, labels with the city's name will pop up.
