CouponBirds surveyed more than a thousand movie goers, in March 2024, about their cinema habits, behaviors, preferences, and most importantly, their icks. As it turns out, people have strong opinions on going out, how much things cost and what needs to change.

Two-thirds of fans surveyed are bored of superhero movies and more than 75 percent said that there were way too many remakes made in the last few years. Make more original stuff, Hollywood!

Most people think the most triggering movie theater chain to go to is

Cinemark, was considered to be the most triggering theater in the US, with nearly one in five surveyed saying so, which is odd because you'd think the Nicole Kidman and her AMC time sink ad would be the one that radicalized people. When it came to behavior, talking was the most inexcusable one, followed by loud kids.

Among fandoms, Star Wars fans were voted the most-annoying (15 percent), followed by James Bond (11.7 percent), Scream (11.7 percent), Jurassic Park (11.5 percent) and Disney/Pixar (10.2 percent) fans.

Picking up from last year's biggest trend, almost three-quarters of fans want to see another "Barbenheimer" double bill, one where they can dress up and see two hit movies on the same day.

When it comes to on-screen sex, an astonishing and deeply ironic 69.3 percent of movie theater goers found sex scenes uncomfortable. Couldn't make that up if you tried.
