The Small Arms Survey is a Switzerland-based independent research project that provides information on small arms and armed violence for governments, policy-makers, researchers and activists. The project tracks, among other things, the number of firearms held by civilians globally.

Using the most recent data available, from 2017, Reddit user geo_ranking mapped the estimated number of privately owned guns for every 100 citizens in countries across the globe.

The US has by far the most civilian firearms per 100 people, with around 120. Following behind is Yemen, with 62 privately owned guns for every 100 people.

This statistic is completely irreverent. It means nothing. A meaningful statistic would be what percentage of those owners commit crimes using firearms or what percentage of the population illegally possesses firearms and how much crime doe they commit with firearms.

    Those numbers actually matter.

Two things you gun confiscating liberals: (1) owning firearms is actually in our Constitution. It says the right to own firearms "shall not be infringed". Clear, yes? (2) We have a lot more freedoms enshrined in our Constitution that our government is trying to take away. Hence, we need more guns to protect ourselves from an invasive government.

P.S. No one has confiscated guns. That's in your very active imagination where you probably also do battle with dragons.
